The Red Bull Pump Track World Championship Returns for 2019

Philippine Riders head to the Red Bull Pump Track World Championship

Let’s take you back to April of 2018 where riders battled it out for a ticket to the Red Bull Pump Track World Championships. Perhaps the best definition written about the Men’s Open battle is that it was a battle of generations.

Read more about the Manila qualifier here.

Jerich Farr won the free ticket to the Worlds with a very thin margin over Bans Mendoza. Age aside, it was a perfect run by the winner and an error that caused a slight delay to an almost-perfect run by Mendoza.  Top 4 of the Men Open are qualified to compete in the RBPTWC with the winner Farr, receiving a prize of an  all expense paid race trip to Arkansas, USA.  Mendoza on the other hand was able to push through with his bid to the World finals with the support of his sponsors for his trip to the US.

Here are updates from our winners who’ll be heading out with the world’s best.

The Manila Qualifier

The Red Bull Pump Track World Championship Manila Qualifier was hosted by Ortigas and Company, Circulo Verde, and organized by The Bike Playground. True to its vision of pushing boundaries and unlocking potential (aside from having fun!), constructing this facility has already brought in progress to the local cycling scene. More than that, fulfilment of one of its vision takes place this October as we’ll watch Philippine riders in the world championships.

Go Philippines!

The top 4 men and women from each qualifier will advance to the Red Bull Pump Track World Championship Final in Lenzerheide. On top of that, the winner of each qualifier will win an expenses paid trip to the Lenzerheide final to battle it out against the best in the world.
